This is the scene that was my inspiration behind the Sound Scape of Nar Shaddaa. Especially the overhead sign
I attached a sound to a moving sign that was on the Planet Nar Shaddaa. I was inspired by the scene in Bladerunner where the sign flys overhead and says "A New life Awaits" If I would have used English then it would have had to been translated in to every language the game supported. So as a solution I used the language Hutta that dosen't have to be translated
I saw this floating cube in the Jedi Temple and had to put a sound on it. So I got the honor of building the sound of what a Force sensitive object would be. I used it's theme through out the game especially in the Jedi's meditation loop. I used this sound to link it back to the temple to give the player the since that this was the power that the Jedi were reaching out to
Like the Jedi Cube above. I wanted to tie the player back to this temple when they were out on missions. I used sounds from the Siths meditation to build an ominous sound for the Sith Obilisk. With layers of what would sound like trapped souls, and whispers to complement the visual
To accompany the Ambience sounds of a world I often use Emitter or Source sounds to give the user a feeling of movement and size. In this example you hear the generators as you move past them instead of being just a sound that is triggered in mix and doesn't have a reference
