This was a feature I wanted where the amount of players around you affects the sound scape of the world. As you notice in the example when I walk forward around the other players you hear the "chatter" increase then decrease as I move off. This was great in keeping the game unpredictable, and was also very impactful if a raid party came by or something popular happened in the game to build hype
There is a section in SWTOR where a plague has broken out and it takes on more of a horror kind of feel. I wanted to have the Star Wars equivalate of when there is an emergency and they play the "Please remain calm and proceed to the exit" It set the scene for the player to think "Something bad happened here"
There was a section in this game that for the first time in Star Wars cannon something similar to a Zombie was used. Since there was no source material I created some myself. The sound you hear is me going in to the office early for a few weeks and recording myself moaning, and screaming. Then I processed it and randomized the pitch. So in some way I'm apart of the Star Wars sound scape now
This was from the PVP Huttball game inside of SWTOR. It was a full crowd system similar to ones that I have built for stand alone sports titles
This is a system I built that is reading the players score and knows when they are close to winning or on a streak. You can hear different sound elements begin to come up in the mix like the chanting in the background
